Conflict Resolution

Gabe Clark is uniquely positioned to mediate school conflicts. Gabe has been a practicing attorney for over 20 years and has been involved in education for over 15 years, both as a charter school board member and as an attorney. Gabe has been working with schools to ensure compliance, avoid legal issues and resolve a wide variety of conflicts.

Gabe initially received mediation training through Utah Dispute Resolution and later obtained a Graduate Certificate in Conflict Resolution from the University of Utah. Gabe has also received an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and works as a licensed clinical mental health counselor seeing individuals and couples in private practice.

As a board member, attorney, and parent of five children who have attended both charter and district schools, and husband of a public school educator, Gabe is familiar with all sides of the educational landscape and the conflicts that exist in the educational world. Along with his extensive experience, Gabe has an ability to listen deeply, convey empathy, make space for and appreciate different perspectives, deescalate charged situations, help parties reflect, evaluate and analyze their interests and positions, and facilitate parties in working towards resolutions that meet their needs.
